Come and listen as children's book author Line Friis Frederiksen tells amazing stories about animals from all over the world. Maybe you'll also get to hear about giant dinosaurs in Denmark. About Carnivorous Plants. And about snails shooting with harpoons.
The stories are based on the book 'Real, wild stories from around the world', where you can also read about sticky toothpaste, volcanoes and mummies with plugs in seagulls.
Afterwards, you can try sticking your head into the hole of a crocodile and see if you can guess which skull is from a cave bear when the National Museum of Natural History presents a collection of impressive skulls and jaws from the wild animal world.
Who can you meet?
Line Friis Frederiksen Line is a biologist, children's book author and a member of the Kvinnliga Eventyreres Klub. She loves telling stories to children - and making them both curious, brave and wiser about our wonderful world. She has slept in a hammock in the Amazon jungle, caught piranhas and been mountaineering in Alaska. And then she once made a (hercommercial) earthworm cake, which she also ate.
The Museum of Natural History is the national museum of natural history in Denmark. We will be visited by skilled intermediaries who bring exciting cases from the collection.
Until March 2027, you can look forward to visiting the Zoological Museum, which will have a large new museum building in the Botanical Garden.
