A desolate Polish village in the Romanian Carpathians: a moving film about memory, friendship and transience.
The story of the friendship of women living in a dying Polish village in the Romanian Carpathians. Hank and Bronka have already buried their husbands, the children have gone abroad in search of other, better prospects. Independent and independent heroines impress with their serenity, although their reality inexorably recedes into the past. What remains are memories of times that will never come back — and facing the challenges of everyday life together. The nostalgic picture delights with unpretentious humor and photos, conveying the charm of the Carpathian foothills. The director creates a touching film about memory, friendship and transience. The portrait of heroines, who are everything to each other, prompts to reevaluate priorities and look at reality from the less frequented side.
