The Nutcracker in the version of the Kielce Dance Theater is a beautiful, colorful composition, touching the imagination of children and touching adults.

The plot presented with the help of dance, extremely pictorial and very interesting in terms of instrumental music and festive themes will allow viewers to move into the world of magic and fantasy. An important aspect of the project is the desire to bring viewers closer to the beauty of the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The Nutcracker is considered one of the best works of the composer, who, using rather unusual instruments such as trumpets or drums in his work, tried to convey the world of children's imagination.

The choreographers for this magical show will be Elżbieta Szlufik-Pańtak and Grzegorz Pańtak. The combination of the music of Piotr Tchaikovsky with the technique of jazz and contemporary dance is a carrier of enormous historical, educational and cognitive value. Costumes and scenography are also an extremely important asset of the production, designed by renowned set designer and costume designer Małgorzata Słoniowska, who collaborates permanently with the Wrocław Opera.

The main character of the play is Clara, who received a doll from Santa Claus — a nutcracker. Infatuated with the gift, the girl, after a day full of emotions, falls into a magical dream. Her desire to meet love makes the Nutcracker transform into a beautiful Young Man, whom Clara endows with a strong affection. Together, with the help of toys, they defeat an army of mice and take a strange walk through a transformed shopping mall. Items from store shelves come to life and take our heroes on a dance journey around the world. Klara and Młodzieniec begin their journey in a pastry shop, tasting cakes, candies, pretzels and ice cream. While in the shoe store they dance Spanish dance, in the cafe aromatic coffee transports them to the Arab Middle East. The Chinese world is a china shop and a porcelain hammer robber. They end their journey in a flower shop, where Clara turns into a white rose and the Younger turns into a gardener. Clara's desire for a dream love will find fulfillment in the wedding with the Younger and the wedding, where all the characters from the dreamy dreams play.
