“The Nutcracker” is more than a ballet, it is a Christmas fairy tale that connects generations. It is a story that makes us return to the times of childhood and delight in what is true and beautiful. The ballet, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's short story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, features on the posters of theaters around the world during the Christmas holidays, invariably captivating audiences.
Ahead is an evening in which Christmas magic will combine with the brilliant music of Piotr Tchaikovsky, creating a memorable (and heart!) A show not only for children. Clare, who is suspended between childhood and adulthood, attending a big family Christmas party feels that she does not fit in there. The mysterious doll maker, Drosselmeyer, hands her a wooden doll — a nutcracker who turns into a real prince when Clara falls asleep. However, not only the doll is transformed. Guests turn into rats and mice, and Christmas gifts come to life, dancing under the orders of Drosselmeyer. In a world where everything is huge, bigger than it really is, the prince and Clara have to fight animals, headed by the fearsome Rat King... We can't wait for the moment when the curtain rises and we enter the magical world of heroes. We will be accompanied by the wonderful thought that among the audience there is someone who sees and delights in “The Nutcracker” for the first time. Certainly not the last!
