The Nutcracker — Season of Royal Ballet & Royal Opera House

During an atmospheric Christmas party, young Klara meets the mysterious magician Drosselmeyer, who hands her a toy nutcracker. When the guests have already parted, and the house is plunged into sleep, Klara sneaks downstairs in search of a figurine. Instead, she meets Drosselmeyer, who takes her on a journey into a world full of magic: fantastic landscapes covered with snow fluff and frosted sweets, where toys come to life and magic never stops. The family-beloved Christmas spectacle produced by Peter Wright shimmers to the rhythm of Tchaikovsky's wonderful orchestral music, and its brilliance and timelessness are emphasized by the epoch-style costumes by Julia Trevelyan Oman. Live recording from December 10, 2025.
