Opening the second part of The Grandfathers, we go out to meet foreign souls and our own shadows: looking at Mickiewicz's hero (k) om, we encounter ourselves, entangled in unobvious and contradictory desires, making mistakes and seeking community. In Dziadach II, dance creates a space for encounter, exchange of energy and renewal of the relationship between the individual and the community — the living and the imagined. John Berger wrote that “the time (in) the story is not linear. The living and the dead meet in it as listeners and judges, and the more listeners manage to gather, the more intimate the story becomes for each one of them.” The ritual described by Mickiewicz becomes for us a space of encounter with the living and the not/dead, as well as an opportunity to renew relativism in the safe conditions of a stage meeting. Dziady II, understood in this way, is space-time, to which we invite all peculiar non/presences — that which is foreign to us and that which is alien to us. We invite you too — join your grandparents to rediscover them!

During the performance, smoke, artificial fogs and strobe light are used. People with asthma or breathing problems are asked to exercise caution.
