Children of the pale sun

A performance based on the motifs of the novel “Songs of the Spotted Cows” by Łukasz Staniszewski.

“Children of the Pale Sun” is a fabulous, perverse story about a world where adults stopped listening to children and, perhaps, that is why the weather went completely crazy.

In Wierutki in Warmia, reality mixes with magic, the living talk to the dead, the pig speaks in a human voice, and the rain can take the form of a boy. In this unusual reality, residents are trying to cope with drought, thirst, loneliness and their own needs. Everyone wants something for themselves, but not everyone can see what price someone else is paying for it.

Full of humor, grotesque and Warmia fiction, the story tells about the need for acceptance, responsibility and the border between helping and exploiting others. About how easy it is to like someone for what they can give us and how difficult it is to see them for who they really are.
