Humor, brilliant dialogues, presentation of a palette of Shakespearean possibilities: comedies, tragedies, historical chronicles with musical and dance elements. It is a production of the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre, which entertains both young and old audiences.
“All Shakespeare's Works (in a slightly abbreviated version)” by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jesse Winfield have been entertaining people around the world for more than 20 years. The text, given with humor and lightness, can be considered a parody of Shakespeare's plays.
“Elsewhere, you would have wasted a great deal of time to see only a meaningless fraction of the work of the Stratford Genius on stage. Who has time to read Shakespeare? The audience will hear from the stage. So there will be quite unexpected references in the production, for example to the dating app Tinder. The topic of plagiarism or mobbing will be discussed, among others. You will be able to hear a biography of Shakespeare mixed with a note about... Hitler, and all this after gluing together the notes printed from Wikipedia!
The leader of the performance is Rafał Ostrowski, who in 2000 played the role of Oset, that is, played female roles in the “Works of all Shakespeare” of the Musical Theater in Gdynia. Now — the actor at the time — is back and creating the show anew, with an emphasis on interaction with viewers and jokes about Shakespeare.
