The first film of “The Witcher” returns to screens for the 25th anniversary of the premiere and the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Witcher universe!
Before CD Projekt Red released the first game from the world created by Andrzej Sapkowski and before Henry Cavill played Geralt in a high-budget Netflix series, it was created — our Polish film “The Witcher” directed in 2001 by Marek Brodzki.
The Polish film could not boast a budget of hundreds of millions of dollars and top-notch special effects, but it offered the audience an excellent cast (led by Michał Żebrowski, Zbigniew Zamachowski and Grażyna Wolszczak) and a great soundtrack by Grzegorz Ciechowski.
Today, a quarter of a century after its premiere, Marek Brodzki's film returns to the big screen to remind viewers that Poles are not geese and they have their on-screen “The Witcher”!
