THE GIRL IN THE PHOTO

A powerful and moving documentary that brings to light the secrets of the KL Ravensbrück sub-camp in Chojn. He gives a face and a name to hundreds of forgotten victims who died of exhaustion while working as slaves in the service of a military airfield. At the heart of this story is Jadwiga Chomicka, a 13-year-old girl from Warsaw. Her tragic fate, captured in an archival photograph, becomes a symbol of the unimaginable suffering of Polish women, deported to hell in the camps. This is not a fairy tale — it is a story from a time when man was a beast to man. The role of Jadwiga Chomicka was played by actress Maria Świłpa from Szczecin.
