Shortly before the Chilean coup in 1973, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are sent from Santiago to Easter Island by their superior, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Surrounded by the island's iconic statues, facing both a dark past and current conspiracies, the longtime partners face growing tensions. The situation is further complicated by Chris' new relationship with two rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas), which could make their journey to this distant paradise spiral out of control.
