Beak to beak

Beak to Beak is a contemporary drama that goes back to the tradition of an animal fairy tale. The story takes place in the space of one of the city's blockhouses, between the pigeon subculture's blind thirst for power and their desire to dominate the backyard, a cat that is the eternal enemy of birds, and a sparrow seeking its community. Paradoxically, it is the sparrow, that is, the smallest and most vulnerable, who saves pigeons from oppression and teaches birds what truth, friendship, devotion and honor are.

Malina's Fable of Marriage presents clear types and models of interpersonal bonds and the mechanisms that govern the group. It points to the values that the Otherness carries and the threats derived from hostile and aggressive attitudes towards it. Even though the drama does not have the construction of a classic comedy, it is kept in a comedic mood. This is primarily due to the bright tongue.

The show is recommended for viewers from the age of 6.

The drama was awarded in the 24th Competition for Theatre Arts for Children and Youth organized by the Children's Art Center in Poznań.
