After the Boys from Plac Broni, who had their premiere on the stage of the Chamber Theater, we are once again hosting one of the most important creators of the musical in Poland. Wojciech Kościelniak — director of, among others, Quo vadis, Chłopów, Hair, The Witcher, Lalka and Kombinatu — this time goes back to Albert Camus's Plague.
A novel that has moved and disturbed for years. A city that is closed. People who do not know what awaits them. An epidemic that becomes a metaphor for everything: loneliness, courage, powerlessness... and community.
Is it possible to sing about suffering? Can dancing tell us about hope? Can a musical spectacle be existential? We won't answer. You will see. You will feel. And you may not want to leave the theater.
