We explore the collections of the Glyptotek and hear sad, cruel and macabre tales from both modern art and ancient Egypt. Along the way, we encounter different ideas about death and the afterlife — and, among other things, unfold one of the world's first “ghost stories”.
We also descend into the mummy cellar of the museum, where we take a closer look at the ancient Egyptians' notions of what awaits on the other side.
A (u) cozy tour of the many faces of death — and man's eternal fascination with the unknown.
Buy an annual pass and get free admission to the museum and discounts on events, shop and café. Read more here.
For information on wheelchair accessibility, accompanying arrangements, etc., read more here.
