About the event

Blues and rock, Great Britain and Japan — musical dialogue across borders on the stage of the Zieliński Palace! Two prominent personalities of the blues-rock scene will meet in the Zieliński Palace: Eddie Angel from the UK and Masahiro Todani (Mar Todani) from Japan. Ahead is an evening full of energetic guitar riffs and blues freedom.

Eddie Angel is a brilliant English guitarist, singer, songwriter and songwriter based in London. Initially a painter and cartoonist, he began his adventure with the guitar only at the age of 20, but awakening a great talent for this instrument already at the age of 23 he began to sow terror on the stages of London clubs. He then collaborated with guitarist Keith Levine (Public Image ltd, The Clash), Bill Hurley (The Inmates — Dr Feel good), The Kings of Rhythm (Ike Tuner), Hank Marvin (The Shadows), New Orleans blues legend Walter Wolfman Washington, Big Joe Tuner Memphis Blues (Albert King), The Vibartors, Leon Blue, Todd Sharley The Pville Band, Gary Granger (Rod Stewart Band), Jimmy Thomas, Earl Thomas, Mark Olbrich Blues Eternity, as well as leading British comedian Rob Brydon, have toured with these performers over the years in the Great Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, USA and the Caribbean. Together with members of Jack Bruce's band, he formed the house band of the famous London club Ronnie Scott's.

In his work, he is always faithful to the guitar — the love of his life. It combines simplicity and effectiveness. He focuses on the quality of the songs he writes — stories with great guitar tracks and rock and roll expression, as he himself figuratively puts it: “like Johnny Cash running on the blade of a knife and meeting a satanic hairdresser” - all in black, easily indifferently chewing the gum of the Rock and Roll Vampire wins the hearts of the audience with his razor-sharp riffs and great charisma.

Masahiro Todani (Mar Todani) is a Japanese guitarist born in Hiroshima. In the 90s he was the guitarist of Big Joe Turner & Memphis Blues Caravan, then many American bluesmen such as Martha High, Melvia Chick Rodgers, Eddie Kirkland, Ernie Johnson, Marten Ingle, Shana Waterstown, Nina Van Horn.
