About the event

Stage: Big Stage

Let's talk about sex. With humor and without embarrassment! Who among us has not included an embarrassing conversation with parents or a compromising mishap during the first kiss? What would it be like if the “Encyclopedia of Sex” fell from the sky just before the first time?

We invite you to an award-winning theatrical hit that debunks myths about sex and puberty. “Sex education” is not only entertainment, but also a good portion of knowledge and emotional support, needed by both teenagers and adults.

- reportage. Michał Buszewicz (text and direction), Katarzyna Sikora (choreography), Baasch (music), Marta Gosecka (theatre pedagogy), as well as Rita, Agnieszka, Olga, Romek and Oliver (Youth Expert Council) talk about the performance.

— a prize from the Youth Jury, and a distinction from the Jury of the Festival of Contemporary Dramaturgy “Reality presented”

— awards of the 26th International Korczak Festival TODAY: Stefania Wilczyńska Award and Machulski Award from the Youth Jury

“For Poland, an extremely brave, yet subtle and not crossing any boundaries show, which is an example of great sexual education, and at the same time — an important conversation about it (...) above all, here is a new language of talking about sex, devoid of taboos and shame. There is daring acting and an interesting visual form, escaping stereotypical images of sex, there is also excellent music.”

“It's a damn funny thing. The comedy of the play is due to the fact that both the spectators and the performers are helpless after all. We look at each other fondly and take our first steps together, contemplating the absurdity of the world in which we live. Nad

an expert group composed of teenagers and teenagers worked, who were consulted on the content conveyed in the performance. This is another important step towards finding a new, democratic language in theatre. (...) I have the feeling that a revolution has begun at the Contemporary Theatre in Szczecin on this premiere evening.”

“Buszewicz's performance proves that theatre can become one of the spaces of sexual education and, in addition, do so with grace, humor and imagination (...).”
