Edyta Bartosiewicz: Sketches

Edyta Bartosiewicz is an independent artist, author, composer and record producer. She debuted in 1990 with the avant-garde band Holloee Poloy with the album 'The Big Beat'. Two years later, her first solo album 'Love' was released, and in 1994 another, entitled 'Sen', which proved to be a huge success. In the 1990s, Bartosiewicz released 4 more albums, including the legendary 'Dziecko', before parting with her mother label in 1999 and starting her own publishing company. Then the album 'Today is my birthday' was released, a kind of best-off, a condition of termination of the contract with Universal.

Edyta Bartosiewicz has sold more than one million records in total and has received numerous industry awards, including several Fryderyk Awards in a row for the best rock records (the last one was awarded for her album 'Ten Moment, released by Eba Records in 2020). She has also collaborated with many artists, singing duets with them (Hey — 'Moja i Twoja Nademia', Kazik — 'Cztery Pokoje', Krzysztof Krawczyk — 'Difficult Tak') or producing recordings for them (Firebirds — album 'Kolory' or 'Cisza W Jej Dom by Closterkeller).

On November 4, 2022, the jubilee version of 'Love' on cd and vinyl was released, remastered by Shawn Hatfield. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of her solo debut, Edyta decided to play a series of concerts only with an acoustic guitar (solo act), exactly as she played at the very beginning of her career. Time has closed a loop, or maybe a spiral, and for Bartosiewicz it is something of a 'new opening'.
