Adam Kałduński's performances at the 19th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw aroused special interest from the audience and recognition of the international jury. The culmination of his participation was the awarding of the Bella Dawidowicz Special Prize for the best performance of a ballad — a distinction that opened a new stage of his career for the pianist.
Adam Kałduński is from Gdańsk. He graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski General School of Music, then studied at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in the class of Prof. Katarzyna Popowej-Zydroń, where he obtained a master's degree and completed postgraduate studies. In 2016-2019 he was also educated under the guidance of Katarzyna Popowej-Zydroń and Jerzy Sulikowski.
He is a laureate of many prestigious piano competitions. He won, among others, the International Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in Beijing (2019) and won the 1st prize and five special prizes at the Premio Amadeus competition in Lazise (2023). Among his achievements are also prizes at Chopin competitions in Warsaw, Koninie-Żychlin and Szafarnia, as well as semifinals of international Beethoven competitions in Bonn and Vienna.
Adam Kałduński regularly performs in Poland and abroad, often invited to perform Chopin recitals. He honed his skills during numerous master classes led by eminent pianists and educators such as Dang Thai Son, Kevin Kenner and Piotr Paleczny.
