Chopin Effect — concert by Marcin Wieczorek

The music of Fryderyk Chopin will sound again in the walls of the Sanok Castle.

On 16 October at 6 p.m., we invite you to a unique piano concert performed by Marcin Wieczorek — one of the most interesting pianists of the young generation, winner of international piano competitions and participant of the 18th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition.

The artist graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the class of Prof. Stefan Wojtas. He has, among others, the 1st prize of the Teodor Leszetycki Competition in Hamburg and the 1st prize of the La Palma d'Oro competition. He performed in prestigious concert halls in Poland and abroad. He is also one of the protagonists of the Emmy-winning film “Pianoforte” directed by Jakub Piątek, dedicated to the participants of the Chopin Competition. His interest in Chopin began very early — as a child he learned about his struggles thanks to his father, and at the age of nine, after hearing Rafał Blechacz, he decided that in the future he would take part in the Chopin Competition.

The concert will take place as part of the program “Chopin Effect”, realized by the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
