We invite you to a piano recital performed by the outstanding pianist of the young generation Mateusz Krzyżowski. The artist belongs to the group of the most respected interpreters of piano music, and his performances are distinguished by their exceptional sound sensitivity and natural, free musical narration.
Winner of the 1st prize of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2022) and semi-finalist of the 18th International Chopin Competition (2021), he won the recognition of both the public and the critics. His interpretations are appreciated for the nobility of sound, fidelity to the composer's intentions and ability to build narratives with great freedom and sense of form.
A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the class of Prof. Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just (2023), he regularly performs in Poland and abroad — including in the United States, Japan, France and Germany. He has performed on the most important stages, such as the National Philharmonic, the NOSPR and numerous philharmonies throughout the country.
The artist has collaborated with leading conductors, and his phonographic output includes three chamber albums. He is also a laureate of many prestigious piano competitions and a scholarship holder of programs supporting the most outstanding talents, including the “Young Poland” program.
The recital as part of the Chopin Effect series will be an opportunity to meet, among others, the music of Fryderyk Chopin in the interpretation of the artist, who combines technical mastery with a deep sense of style and emotion. It is a concert where classics meet individual sensibilities to create a moving and authentic musical experience.
