Glory to summer

In her virtual reality, nine-year-old Lina feels free — free from her own fears and her father's fears, which actually always revolve around Lina. The analog reality is summer in Berlin. It's vacation, but Lina is sitting inside. Until her dad pulls the plug: The child has to get out into the outdoor pool. The only supervised location. French fry shop, diving tower, dreadful chewing gum, a former (almost) Olympic champion and current lifeguard with great ambitions for young jumping talent, the hot city. Overload for Lina. And then Khan also appears, also nine years old, but in contrast to only child Lina number four of seven siblings and in his element in the outdoor pool. When the other children name the anxious Lina as the chosen one to win the annual outdoor pool challenge and the honor of the summer, Khan suddenly sees his own honor at risk.
Under the eyes of the lifeguard — who is currently planning her poignant jumping competition — a challenge for the children begins full of tough rivalry and even tougher cooperation. Lina not only discovers her own ambitious side, but also real offline friends. Only the Oracle (just Timmy at work) has long known the outcome.
