This year, Drehbühne Berlin is making a guest appearance in Berlin's voles for the first time with its successful production “A Christmas Story” based on Charles Dickens.

The story, which the author himself called “A Ghost Story” in the subtitle, is perfect for implementation in interaction between audience, stage, live music and film sequences.

Together with the hard-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge, who detests Christmas and thinks it is “humbug,” the audience meets the ghosts of the past, present and future Christmas. The children in particular become part of the story: Scrooge's sister Fanny secretly inaugurates them and repeatedly encourages them to play along and “haunt along.”

The revolving stage tells the famous classic in its very own way. Her carefully modernized version remains closely linked to Dickens' story, but at the same time goes its own way and offers some surprising twists and turns. And luckily there is someone who has not yet given up hope that the heart of the stingy, misanthropic Scrooge will still be softened... The revolving stage is available to Berlin audiences, including their productions “The Little Prince” in the Admiral's Palace, The Jungle Book.”

known in the Botanical Garden, or “The Little King December” at Dieter Hallervorden's Schlosspark Theater, in which Dirk Bach was originally supposed to play the title role.
