4:00 p.m.
Conducted by: dr Karolina Wolska-Pabian
The collection of Ceramics of the National Museum in Warsaw, collected since 1917, now includes nearly 10,000 objects and is the largest museum collection in Poland. However, only about 600 of the most valuable objects are exhibited in the Gallery of Early Art. These are the most outstanding examples of European porcelain from the 18th century, as well as Dutch faience, which was created from inspiration brought to Europe by Chinese porcelain. During the tour, visitors will see faience from Delft, porcelain from the first European manufactory in Meissen, unique examples from the Vezzi factory in Venice, Vienna, Berlin and Sèvres.
