Eläkeläiset are the “biggest Humppa band in the world”. They say that themselves and who would disagree? In their native Finland, the “retirees” have long been a cult institution, whose albums regularly top the charts. But even in this country, the band has an impressively large and, above all, loyal fan base.
The number of their publications? Countless! Even a DVD was marked with gold in Finland. Her first appearance in Germany took place over 30 years ago — on March 2, 1996 at Juz Rostock.
In its 34th year of existence, Eläkeläiset is now bringing their unique mix of Humppa and Chaos back to German stages with “Der Humppagenerator 2027”.
