ELBA

We round off the concert of the year at Stengade with a true pop night where ELBA comes by on December 5th!

ELBA:
ELBA is contrast-filled indie pop with a strong vocal and raw, sensitive lyrics at its center. Behind the name is Ellen Bathum — Danish artist and songwriter — who with her craft and heart has marked herself as one of the most promising voices on the Danish music scene. Now she opens a new chapter: for the first time she releases Danish-language music, and with the single 'bombesikker' — currently current on P4 — she takes listeners on a journey towards greater linguistic intimacy and honesty ahead of the release of her first Danish album 'tar & glimmer', which will be released on 25 September 2026. At the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027, she will play her new album around the Danish venues.

ELBA's sound is a sonic universe where electronic and organic elements merge into large-scale productions. Inspired by Nordic indie pop and alternative electronic pop, she invites into a textual universe where raw emotions and complex relationships unfold with sensuality and heaviness.

Her previous English-language releases have garnered national and international attention — including rotation and airplay on P3, P4 and P6 BEAT, as well as sync-placements in the German Amazon Prime film 'Un/Dressed' (2024) and the cinema film 'MIRA' (2025). Their debut album 'Teardrops & Blind Spots' (2023) was met with praise, including from DR P3's Ena Cosovic: 'A completely fantastic album... a subtler electronic sound mixed with rock elements and insanely fine pop melodies (...) '

Live delivers ELBA presence and nerve. She has played at Roskilde Festival, Smukfest and SPOT Festival, and her concerts have garnered 4-5 stars in GAFFA, who called her 'an artist who condenses quality on a recognizably strong level'.

With the change to Danish, ELBA's personal voice is clearer than ever — where
closeness and raw emotion go hand in hand.
