What did the holidays look like when the decorations were made with their own hands, and the preparations were an opportunity to spend time together? If we can't see the electric charge, how do we know it really appeared? This time, the participants will be the constructors of a device that allows to detect the effects of the action of invisible charges — the electroscope.
First, we will check how electrified objects attract and repel light elements, and then we will see a professional electroscope in action. Each family will build their own simple detector and test its operation. There will also be spectacular shows with a Van de Graaff generator and a plasma ball, thanks to which the invisible world of electricity will become much more visible.
All the work done during the workshop children can take home.
The electric shipyard is the watchword of the workshop cycle. Subsequent classes always on the second Saturday of the month. Classes are conducted by SmartLab.
