Celeste, a former military sniper, is trying to cope with the trauma of war and raise her daughter. He lives in a trailer estate near the base where the military conducts secret experiments. When mutated soldiers with eyes glowing in the dark escape, he must take up arms again to protect the child. Adam Wingard's “Onslaught” is a bloody science fiction horror from studio A24 that turns a mother's clash with monsters into a spectacular action movie. Shootouts, fluttering limbs and a chainsaw working at full speed create a crazy carnage in the spirit of grindhouse cinema. The creator of “The Guest” and “You're Next” sensitively plays with genre conventions, and Dan Stevens, as the scientist responsible for the whole nightmare, adds his own portion of madness to it.
