After two successful anniversary tours to celebrate Els Pets' 40 years on the stage, the tour now heads north. The legendary Catalan band is coming to Copenhagen to celebrate four decades of music — and at the same time mark the 30th anniversary of CatalansDK, the Catalan association in Denmark.

Copenhagen will be the northernmost place Els Pets has ever played. It will be the last concert of the anniversary tour before the band returns home and ends the celebration.

Els Pets was formed in 1985 in southern Catalonia and over the years has become one of the most popular and significant bands on the Catalan music scene. Songs such as Jo vull ser rei, Vespre, Pantalon's curts, Blue tack and La vida és bonica (però complicada) have been part of the soundtrack of several generations of Catalan music lovers.

The 40th anniversary began with a tour of 40 concerts, all of which were sold out, with more than 120,000 tickets sold. Due to the huge support, the celebration continued in 2026 with another 65 concerts all around Catalonia — in concert halls, theatres, festivals and iconic venues such as the Palau de la Música Catalana.

Els Pets have once again shown that they can bring audiences together across generations, filling both small and large stages.

Now there is only one concert missing: Copenhagen.

It will be a final night with Els Pets, their biggest songs and lots of community singing — and an opportunity to celebrate 40 years of Catalan music and 30 years of CatalansDK together in the heart of Copenhagen.
