Michael Dellith, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung

Gábor Boldoczki, who grew up in Kiskőrös, Hungary, is considered a unique talent among the trumpeters of his generation. The international press regularly praises him as a great virtuoso. A breakthrough in his career was winning the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich and winning the first prize — Grand Prix de la Ville de Paris — at the III Maurice André International Competition.

He has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and Vienna Symphony Orchestra, as well as with world-renowned chamber orchestras. He is a frequent visitor to the most important European music centers.

Gábor Boldoczki received the title of Doctor Liberalium Artium from the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he is a professor of trumpet playing. He was also honoured with the Ferenc Liszt Honorary Award — the highest distinction awarded by the Hungarian Ministry of Culture in the field of music.
