Emigration to London is the experience of many Poles. Luck or bad luck made Malcolm share this fate as well. Together with him, we fall into a whirlwind of events in an unknown world — away from home, close and tame everyday life. The new reality has no shortage of colors, adventures and — at times funny and at times chilling in the veins — twists and turns. The hero does not know how to find a job or how to get an apartment, which provokes a series of unpredictable incidents and meetings. At almost every turn, fortunately or not, Malcolm makes acquaintances and relationships with people who entangle him in strange business, involve him in private affairs, and draw him into his life. Everything happens in the company of music and sounds that do not subside; in the dizzying pace and rhythm set by the next places: the market of a small town on the days of the gooseberry, the coach on the route to London, the parking lot of tires, that is, the school of life, full of nooks and crannies pulsating the city. A hero — like many of us in new situations and places — astonishing himself

About the event

The hero — like many of us in new situations and places — amazes himself and learns what he is ready for when nothing can be predicted.

The show is an invitation to travel through memories, unobvious places and in the company of different people: from Roman — a collector of toy queues, or rather (unless you want to earn a living lamp) “collector models”, to a professor leading a dialogue circle in a London squat. The staging of a rogue novel is an opportunity to immerse yourself in surprising, sometimes grotesque, events flowing with a stream of fast-paced action. The adventures of the hero, although they may seem banal or prosaic, will not leave anyone indifferent, because they are told in a way full of lightness and self-irony, and most importantly - with openness and curiosity towards other people.

“Emigration” is also an interesting clash with stereotypes, which at the same time is their breaking. Malcolm, even if he uses associations where one trait implies another, at the same time immediately disarms the scheme. He is able to look under the film and see a living man in all its complexity: along with difficulties, weaknesses and dreams, always asking himself what he can think, feel and what he has experienced.
