Emil Kruse

Emil Kruse cruises onto the stage in Store VEGA

“Jackpot” is slated for Emil Kruse's new single.

The music video for “Jackpot” is a direct continuation of the single “Copenhagen City”, while the song marks a change of style that is clearly heard when the musician sings about having it as a highroller to the sound of a rumbling orchestral arrangement.

“Jackpot” is also the beginning of an intense single process that unfolds different aspects of the project until the release of a new album in March 2027.

The album marks a new chapter in Kruse's career.

Together with his longtime friend Oliver Kincaid, aka OK OK, he has created a universe that draws on the experimental pop era of the late '00s and early '10s. A time when the fusion between pop and hip-hop had to be big, quirky, cheesy and hard to put in a stall.

Raw energy meets vulnerability, and Emil Kruse's distinctive writing style, constantly oscillating between poetry and street delivery, is joined by everything from orchestral arrangements to punk guitar.

At 16, Kruse was among the first to bring grime to Denmark as part of the rap duo Sleng. Since then, he has made his mark as a solo artist with both his own releases and collaborations with some of the country's biggest names.

There is no stopping block for his crumpled ideas and one thing is for sure. It all goes away when Emil Kruse and co. take the stage in Store VEGA.
