“Unmatched in conveying the emotion and depth of the lyrics.” — UK Jazz News

She grew up in a family with deep musical traditions — her mother was a saxophonist, her father a trumpeter and composer, and her grandfather a trombonist performing alongside such legends as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Oscar Peterson. Jazz accompanied her from an early age, and it was from her grandfather that she took over her steadfast work ethic and boundless love for music.

On her artistic journey she has collaborated with such stars as Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, Quincy Jones Orchestra and Jeff Goldblum. Her talent has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, including the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Female Vocalist of the Year, the Jazz Act of the Year award given at the Jools Holland Boisdale Music Awards and the final of the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Competition.

Emma Smith is an extremely versatile artist. She was a presenter for BBC Radio 3 for four years and is now also a member of the internationally acclaimed vocal trio The Puppini Sisters, famous for their excellent vocal harmonies and distinctive retro style.

Her latest albums “Mesunga Baby” and the latest “Bitter Orange” have garnered millions of streams and critical acclaim. Emma Smith's music combines emotional sincerity and contemporary energy with elegance and sound rooted in the golden age of jazz.
