About the event

Jacob Binzer, Billy Cross, Mika Vandborg & Emil Falk occupy Bremen Teater when they meet on stage over robbery stories, sources of inspiration and an arsenal of guitars, pedals, amplifiers and vinyls with host Clement Kjersgaard.

It started on a January day in 2025 and on November 2 we are back in Bremen when Jacob Binzer, Billy Cross, Mika Vandborg and Emil Falk again take the stage with reflections, robbery stories and a stage full of gear and gear.

The 4 guitarists talk about their sources of inspiration — genres, traditions and instruments, work in the studio and on stage. And they share the spotlight with: An arsenal of guitars, pedals, amplifiers, vinyls — and whatever else might be needed during an evening. Maybe there's a surprise or three waiting for you too?

JACOB BINZER (b. 1966) hardly needs any major introduction. Since 1984, with his older brother, Jesper Binzer, he has played in D-A-D, which can look back on a sea of releases and concerts at the biggest festivals and venues all over the world. Binzer is today regarded as a defining figure on the Danish rock scene and has also collaborated with a host of artists, including Elisabeth Gjerluff Nielsen and Michael Falch.

BILLY CROSS (b. 1946) has begun his seventh decade in the service of music. He was born in Manhattan, forged a successful career as a studio musician and became a regular member of Bob Dylan's band. A visit to Copenhagen in 1974 was the start of his Danish adventure, where in the 1980s he divided the hours between Delta Cross Band and the producer act, started when CV Jørgensen put “Tidens Tern” in his hands in 1980. Cross was credited with giving Jørgensen the big commercial breakthrough and then became the safe hand at the mixing desk for a chain of stars including: Johnny Madsen, Anne Dorte Michelsen, Søs Fenger, Pretty Maids, Dr. Hook, Mikael Wiehe, Björn Afzelius, Allan Olsen, Henning Stærk, the supertrio Dalton and the TV partner Wikke & Rasmussen, for whom he turned the music page on the Sonny Soufflé Chok Show (1987) into an independent work. The second after, he was the man who brought together Johnny Madsen, Nanna and Peter Belli on “En at som” — the Danish version of supergroup Travelling Willbury's “Handle with care”.

MIKA VANDBORG (b.1971) is an institution on the Danish rock scene — he made a breakthrough in the public when he toured with GNAGS around the turn of the millennium, became a trusted employee alongside icons such as Dicte and Claus Hempler and in 2009: admitted as a regular in Love Shop. Since 2012, together with his friend Søren Andersen, he has also formed the duo Electric Guitars, which on the road has formed an unbeatable alliance with none other than Sanne Salomonsen. Vandborg's first solo album was released back in 2003 — and in 2022 he began a whole new chapter when he, as a singer and songwriter, threw himself over his native language on the album “Den Danske”, which was followed the following year by “Den evige toer”. Outside the limelight, incidentally, he is also one of the two initiators of the world's first -- and colossally requested -- trivia game about World War II. Ask him what the V stands for in V2.

EMIL FALK (b.1988) was awarded the title of the most played musician in Danish radio in 2019. He was educated at the Danish Academy of Music, but also in the Aarhus band Flødeklinikken, which he remembers with the words: “Dragging gears in a wheelbarrow, sharing backstage with 19 other bands, selling out our first concert, producing our own records, writing a radio hit, huge success, falling success, quarrels, unconditional love and utterly magical musical moments”. Falk works with the likes of Lukas Graham, Benjamin Hav and someone called Thomas Helmig. Just in 2019, he was featured on no fewer than three of the 10 biggest radio hits of the year: Christopher's “My Heart”, Alphabeat's “Shadows” and Hugo Helmig's “Young Like This”. Before we get to January 19, 2025, the list of his hits and collaborators will only have gotten longer.

Aftenens conferencier is a TV presenter, publisher, e.g. Clement Behrendt Kjersgaard (b.1975), who knows when to keep quiet (2024).
