Few records can genuinely claim to have defined an era, but Endtroducing..... is one of them. Its release in 1996 instantly redefined hip-hop, using the most basic of tools – two turntables and a sampler – to combine crucial beats and deeply-felt influences into a poetic instrumental journey.
For this one-off concert, DJ Shadow – aka Josh Davis – returns to this ground breaking collection to present a complete performance of the album, in a collaborative reimagination for orchestra. It promises to be a memorable celebration of a genuine musical landmark.
Produced by the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
