In 2016, ensemble unitedberlin presented the work of eight young composers living in Berlin with the ECHOLOT project at Konzerthaus Berlin. They had the opportunity to present themselves with a world premiere and to speak to the audience about their professional situation.
Over the past ten years, the Berlin composer scene has developed dynamically and so this concert is dedicated to a new “inventory” — with the awarding of composition commissions and short video interviews, which will be shown as an introduction to the concert and will also be available on the ensemble unitedberlin website.
The ensemble unitedberlin provides a framework for the composition assignments: The new works are created for a quartet line-up that is expanded with an additional medium — such as voice, video, dance or electroacoustic elements.
The project is being developed in collaboration with the Nice International Music Festival and Academy (NIMFA) in Nice.
Program: Stefan Beyer: New Work (UA); Sarvenaz Safari: New Work (UA); Konstantin Heuer: New Work (UA); Sara Abazari: New Work (UA)
