AQUARIUS ERA

Did the hippies lose? Or maybe they just matured?
What is left of their dreams of freedom, community, spiritual awakening? Where are the children of the sun, the prophets of love, the LSD rebels and the song protest today? Do they still believe that the world can be changed — or have they ended up in yoga leggings and breathing classes, giving up the fight for a better tomorrow for everyone?
“Age of Aquarius” is a musical journey in the footsteps of a generation that believed that love was enough to save the world. That everything can be changed: with music and the rebellious slogan “make love, not war”. What is left of this revolution? What have we withheld from it, and what have we imperceptibly inherited? Has utopia faded like paint on a psychedelic poster?
The show is a story about the heirs of flower children who are looking for meaning in a time when the only constant element of life is updating the system on the phone. It is also the story of the hippies of the PRL — those who, in a country without consumerism, rebelled against oppression, the system and the gray. The militia followed them, the propaganda ridiculed them — and they danced in the squares, formed communes, set up tents and flowers where the walls were supposed to grow.
The “Age of Aquarius” is a journey through time and continents. An expedition not only into the world of colorful myth, but also a confrontation with what is left of it. It is the collision of the dream world of more than 50 years ago with the brutal reality of the 21st century. It's a story about a world that hasn't gotten better — but still has a chance to do so.
It's a story about how much we all — regardless of age — miss love, peace and freedom today — a place where you can just be yourself.

During the performance, bubbers are used and incense is burned. Profanity, loud music, sharp flashing lights, 14+.
