Alex Quicho and Elizabeth Gabrielle Lee open the film program by Sara Sadik, Simona Andrioletti, Simone C Niquille and Vika Kirchenbauer as part of the “3hd 2026: Beyond Imagining” festival by Creamcake.
The two performance artists present their romance scam thriller in front of paintings by Lovis Corinth and transport the audience into a world that unfolds through telegram channels, disposable cell phones and sounds composed of notification sounds. This raises the question: Who is really at the other end of every declaration of love?
The evening will end with a DJ set from NAS TEA. With her playful yet vulnerable presence, she even gets strangers to share confessions.

As part of their festival “3hd 2026”, Creamcake is a guest at the Berlinische Galerie with a video program. With the theme “Beyond Imagining” (German: Beyond Imagination), the festival deals with a world in which reality and fiction are increasingly blurring and images of violence and crises dull our perception. Esl questions how images, words and gestures acquire meaning and power and invites you to critically look at familiar ways of thinking and social systems. The film program deals with the fact that watching is never neutral. Four works by four artists each juxtapose a single figure — real or fictional — with a force that is beyond their control. The state. The crowd. The camera. The institution. Found footage and essay film, allegory and embodiment trace what is remembered and who is to blame for forgetting.
