Lovis Corinth (1858—1925) is one of the most influential painters of Modernism. He came to Berlin in 1901 and developed his unmistakable, free painting style here. Around 80 top-class works by Corinth and around 30 works by his students and contemporaries provide an insight into his influential work. The focus is also on lesser-known aspects: his painting school, where he primarily taught women, and his work for the Berlin theatre. Learn more
