In autumn, Kołobrzeg will not be the first time that music from different parts of Europe and the world will sound. On November 13 at 19:00 in the auditorium of the Z. Herbert Regional Cultural Center in Kołobrzeg, a concert will take place as part of the International Festival of Music of Central and Eastern Europe EUFONIE 2026.
The stage will feature the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra - an excellent chamber orchestra from Szczecin, which has been performing in Poland and abroad since 2008, presenting both classical repertoire and contemporary, bold artistic projects.
The ensemble will be performed by Emanuel Salvador, violinist and artistic director of the orchestra, and Piotr Więcław, cellist and chamber musician.
Program of the concert
The concert program was built with six strongly contrasting compositions by artists from Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Argentina and Serbia. Among them were:
Paweł Lukaszewski,
Valentine Sylvestrow,
Sylvie Bodorova,
Marcelo Nisinman,
Aleksandar Simić,
Nikolay Piotr Górecki.
Three of the pieces presented were dedicated to the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra.
It will be a musical journey through different styles, moods and traditions - from the full concentration of Valentine Sylvestrov's “Silent Music”, through the “Concerto dei fiori” for violin and string orchestra, to Marcelo Nisinman's “13 variations on the theme of Polish melody”, in which the classical sound meets the energy and echoes of folk tradition.
The concert will be completed by, among others, the moving “In Memoriam” by Aleksandar Simic and “Atlantis op. 72” by Mikołaj Piotr Górecki.
The evening will be a meeting of different cultures and musical languages, but above all - a unique experience of the sound of a string orchestra, which can be subtle, emotional, dramatic and extremely expressive at the same time.
