Eufonie - Penderecki: Creed

Eufonie Festival once again in Dębica!

We invite you to the concert “Penderecki: Credo | Klauza” at the Mors Culture Center, where the Orchestra and Choirs of the Krakow Philharmonic under the direction of Michał Klauza, with the participation of soloists and the Ukrainian Children's Choir, will perform “Credo” by Krzysztof Penderecki.

The organizer of the event is the Mors Cultural Center in Dębica. The event is co-organised by the National Centre of Culture.

In a world full of informational noise, we are increasingly looking for moments of focus and transcendence. A monumental symbol of this longing will be one of the most important works of Polish contemporary music - “Credo” by Krzysztof Penderecki.

The elaboration of the liturgical confession of faith with songs and hymns in three languages is a conscious way out of the pattern of purely theological considerations and the precision of dogmas. Thanks to this, the composition becomes a personal confession of faith of the composer. “Credo” captivates with the precision of construction, the breadth of the means of expression and the power of the executive apparatus, which make up the strength and clarity of the message.

The unifying confession of love and hope will be performed by the Orchestra and Choirs of the Krakow Philharmonic under the direction of Michał Klauza, with the participation of outstanding soloists and the unique Ukrainian Children's Choir, which will give this event a deep dimension of interpersonal solidarity and dialogue.

The theme of this year's Euphonies is “golden glue” — a story about music that has helped preserve memory, build dialogue and find hope in our part of Europe for centuries, even in difficult moments of history.
