Everest: The Other Side is a moving story of two people united by love, ambition and a desire to accomplish the seemingly impossible. National Geographic Documentary Films, by Oscar-winning filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy China, takes viewers on one of the most dangerous and challenging high-altitude expeditions. Prominent Himalayists and skiers, Jim Morrison and Hilaree Nelson, have united love and a common dream to conquer the northern wall of Mount Everest and ski down one of the most dangerous and difficult roads. Thousands of people climbed Everest from the side of Nepal, overcoming the southeastern ridge. Only a few reached the summit from the north side, and no one had managed to ski down this route before. Morrison and Nelson, already known for their extraordinary achievements in the mountains, decide to take extreme risks to fulfill this extremely ambitious dream.
