About the project
The project “Between Voice & Bass” is an intimate, minimalist story built around the tasteful dialogue of the voice with the double bass, complemented by the subtle sound of the drums. Between the velvety vocals of the artist and the deep timbre of the double bass, an intimate space is created, where each sound has its own meaning, and silence becomes a full-fledged means of expression.

During the concert we will hear the timeless standards of the world jazz scene from the repertoire of such icons as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole and Wynton Marsalis. The evening program will include: Come Rain Or Come Shine, Desafinado, Hello Like Before, Darn That Dream, But Beautiful and Let's Call The Whole Thing Off in original, mature and elegant arrangements.

The following will be performed on stage:

Ewa Uryga (vocals) — recognized by Jazz Forum and Twój Blues magazines as the leading Polish jazz singer. A graduate of the Faculty of Jazz and Entertainment Music of the AM in Katowice, author of acclaimed albums (recorded in New York with world-class musicians, among others) and participant of the most important festivals in the country.

Maciej Kitajewski (double bass) — talented double bass player and jazz bassist, responsible for the deep, swinging pulsation of the entire concert project.

Dorota Piotrowska (drums) — acclaimed jazz drummer permanently associated with the New York scene, a graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, performing in prestigious venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

Co-financed from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship
