Beethoven V Expedition Concert

“The expedition concerts are about the pure joy of listening. We approach the great masterpieces of classical music from different directions, listen to details, combine background stories and anecdotes with musical discoveries and take listeners on this journey,” says Joana Mallwitz, describing the format. She initially shares her enthusiasm at the piano, then she moved to the conductor's desk of the Konzerthaus Orchestra. The entire work is then played together — in this case Beethoven's Fifth.

Program: Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 in C minor op. 67
