Ezé. 10 years. Here and there. Not half way through, but right in the middle of it all! Diverse life artist, doctoral Germanist, language acrobat and bridge builder, with a focus on migration from Burkina Faso in Germany. Immigrated, turned black, stayed loud. From Ouagadougou, via Dresden and Berlin to the world. A cosmopolitan who combines music and languages with socio-political commitment. Danceable, with heart, poetry and humor: An anniversary with Germ Afro vibes in clubs across the Republic.

Ezé. 10 years. Here and there. Not half way through, but right in the middle of it all! Current album: Ezé — Schwarz wurde iChezé is a multi-faceted black artist from Burkina Faso who celebrates his migratory focus. Born in Ouagadougou, Ezékiel Wendtoin Nikiema, alias Ezé, only turned black in Germany. By this, he does not mean the color of his skin, but the political dimension of being black in Germany. With his music, the multi-award-winning artist empowers himself, in a society in which black Africans are pigeonholed into many boxes, from which he breaks away powerfully.

With his new DIY album “Schwarz wurde Ich”, he once again builds bridges between people and doesn't mince words: Without hiding from painful topics, he writes about his own experiences full of punchlines, clarity and in between with humorous irony. His fourth album is Ezé's most political and at the same time most personal album to date. It also opens a new musical chapter.

Rhythmically, “Schwarz wurde Ich” goes back to Afro roots. Dynamic and danceable sounds kiss the heart of cosmopolitanism and are particularly inspired by Afro-Beats, Afro-Trap, Amapiano, Drill and West African vibes. In addition, Ezé sings and raps primarily in German about racism, flight and migration, the climate crisis, masculinity and vulnerability. As usual, the post-migrant album will be multilingual. The diversity of the album is also reflected in the features with various dedicated guest artists.
