About the event

Colorblind opens techno office in VEGA

One of Europe's most exciting electronic names is back. Like a sharp-pointed projectile -- aimed directly at the party's explosive climax -- Colorblind plunges into VEGA, sending post-punk electro-shakes throughout the house.

In a vibrant sound universe where techno, breakbeats, industrial and postpunk collide in euphoric energy, the three friends behind Farveblind — Jens Asger Lykkeboe Mouritzen, Magnus Pilgaard Grønnebæk and Anders Norre Arendt — tear you out of desk fatigue and into a heavy, thumping rave ecstasy.

Colorblind are notorious for their intense and energetic live shows. With an uncompromising approach to composing music created for the live stage, they have shaken the ground beneath scenes here at home, in Europe and Asia.

After several years of publishing hiatus, the trio are literally pulled on their work clothes -- suit, shirt and tie. For on May 15 they release the debut album Micro Pleasures. Led by the album's first single “Salary Man” — a biting techno-house commentary and rhythmic revolt against the trivialities of office life.

On debut, they turn their gaze to the hamster wheel and find the cracks in the system. Micro Pleasures is a tribute to the small moments of freedom amidst the oppressive monotony of everyday life. The suit-uniform is new, but the expression is anything but conformal.

Colorblind continues to insist on the boundary-seeking and collective. Micro Pleasures — also mixed by Gustav Brunn (Viagra Boys, Yung Lean) — features guest appearances from Sean Michael Seldorf Flaherty (USERS), k.flay, Elliphant, Jesse Clasen (Foreign Air) and Sebastian Monti, among others. “We want to collaborate with artists -- not just singers,” the band says in a press release. “It forces the three of us (Colorblind, ed.) to be creative in new directions and keeps the process going.”

Colorblind released their first EP Boxes in 2019, followed by Mayhem (2021) and All Clubs Are Bastards (2022). Their uncompromising genre hybrid has garnered acclaim from leading international media such as The Line of Best Fit and CLASH Magazine, as well as reviewers at home.
