Fela Kuti's Birthday

Celebrating The Afrobeat Pioneer

Few artists have changed the musical landscape quite like Fela Kuti. A pioneer, provocateur and the father of afrobeat, his influence still runs deep.

From ‘Zombie’ to ‘Water No Get Enemy’ and ‘Beasts of No Nation’, Fela left behind a catalogue of anthems that remain as relevant as ever.

We’re celebrating his life and legacy with Fela’s former bandmate Bukky Leo, Black Egypt and a stellar lineup of London musicians, coming together to bring some of his most powerful works back to life.

This event is not in association with Fela Kuti.
