Felix Römer & Nachtfarben

Felix Römer writes poetry. This has led to him being a German-speaking champion in poetry slam on the one hand and bringing his texts to the public in various contexts on the other. Now Römer is once again breaking new ground.

Over the past few years and in between all restrictions that the cultural scene had to deal with, Felix Römer worked on setting his lyrics to music. Together with the band Nachtfarben led by musician Martin Bosch, what was already on stage was arranged in such a way that a complex, sonorous and exciting program was created.

Jazzy spheres as well as catchy pop lines, rhythmic arrangements meet poetry and suddenly transform into soundscapes through which Römer's verses guide. The result is pieces that are tailored to the sonorous, warm voice of Roman. The musical sophistication of night colors and the impartiality of Römer are perfectly intertwined. It is not for nothing that Felix Lobrecht comments: “I recommend everything Felix Römer does, and if it's suddenly music, then it's suddenly music.” And Henning May (AnnenMayKantereit) said: “The crappy thing about Felix's lyrics is that I didn't write them.”

Römer, who won the German Cabaret Prize in 2023 together with Luksan Wunder and is a multiple scholarship holder, is hitting a tooth with his new paths. A good one, one that doesn't hurt, but encourages you to ponder and revel: An excellent tooth of time.

At ufaFabrik, Felix Römer also regularly hosts the Crossover Slam Berlin, which he initiated.
