- FEMALE-FRONTED IS NOT A GENRE 5 -

The punk and hardcore festival focuses on strong female voices and partially cast female bands and continues to set self-confident signs. Especially in the male-dominated music world, the event series aims to encourage other Flinta*s and give their stories a stage. And that stage is back in the legendary SO36. Together with friends and neighbors from Kreuzberg, the evenings will be presented on October 22 and 23, 2026. “Female-Fronted Is Not A Genre” was originally an idea by the Berlin band Kill Her First, which was founded in 2007 with an all-female cast. Although the quintet has undergone numerous lineup changes since then, it has never lost sight of its original message: inclusivity and diversity in punk and hardcore.
