Femina

Psychological drama based on Krystyna Kofta's book “The Pavilion of Small Predators” tells about the life of 30-year-old Bogna, who returns to her hometown for her mother's funeral.

It is a film about confronting one's own past, traumas, but also sexuality. Bogna meets her schoolmate Viska, whom she was infatuated with years ago, and starts an affair with her.

The film series “Rainbow DKF” is a joint initiative of QueerMuzeum and FINA. Its first edition will be held under the slogan “Rainbow years of the 90s”. From September 2026 to February 2027, we will present six Polish films in the Iluzjon cinema — both high-profile titles at the time of release, as well as works forgotten and difficult to access today. Each of the shows will be accompanied by a lecture and discussion after the film.

The 1990s marked a new beginning and a continuation of the smuggling of LGBT+ themes in Poland in a manner typical of PRL cinema. The cinema then began to operate without state censorship and on the rights of the market, trying to take up media topics and respond to the challenges of the present. The titles chosen by us represent different authoring strategies and attempts to introduce minority representation.
