Thirty-year-old Józio is experiencing a real horror. Existential horror. The world tortures him, pushing him back into the school bench — behind a small and chewed gum. It suppresses the modernity of trends, measures the stuffiness of the manor house in the country. Finally, Józio tortures himself: with shame, fear and complexes. He wants to shape himself and at the same time he wants to remain undefined. However, it cannot escape from the mouth any other than into another mouth. He doesn't know who he is, but he knows when they deform him.
Behind the success of “The Master and Margarita”, the Malabar Hotel Theater together with the Drama Theater present this time the canon of Polish literature — FERDYDURKE. The phenomenality of the scenography, dolls and masks creating the madness of half-sleep, make the adaptation of the novel unique and at the same time very faithful to Gombrowicz. FERDYDURKE becomes an existential horror that delights. Because how can he not delight when he delights?
The show is intended for viewers from the age of 16.
